Associate

 

In October 2014, Kainui Smith joined PMK as an associate attorney practicing law in the areas of community association, construction and commercial litigation.

 

Smith is experienced in researching legal issues, providing legal analysis and drafting legal memorandum. Prior to joining the firm, he was a judicial law clerk for Judge Glenn S. Hara of the Third Circuit Court in Hilo. He also served as a civil rights law clerk in the Department of Education Civil Rights Compliance Office.

 

In 2013, he graduated cum laude with his J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. Smith was born and raised in Honolulu, attending Kamehameha Schools. In his free time, he enjoys ocean activities and traveling.
