PMKC Partner R. Laree McGuire was a featured panelist at the Hawaii Council of Community Associations seminar on February 16, 2017 at the Hale Koa Hotel. McGuire discussed how to prepare a Request for Bid Proposal (“RFP”), including details about the type of work or services requested, and what information is necessary for a bid proposal to be considered by the Association. McGuire explained why Boards must send out RFP’s prior to starting a large construction project, and how they can help board members avoid conflicts of interest.
