Hawaii Business magazine’s November issue features the sixth-annual list of “Hawaii’s Most Charitable Companies,” which includes Porter McGuire Kiakona & Chow. Metrics included cash donations, in-kind company donations and employee volunteer hours. We are proud to give back to Hawaii’s communities and charitable organizations.

PMKC shares a warm congratulations and welcome to Taylor W. Gray, who has passed the Hawaii Bar Exam and is expected to join our team in November as an associate attorney.

Taylor earned his J.D. from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law. He will join the firm’s growing litigation practice, which serves clients on Oahu and the neighbor islands

Porter McGuire Kiakona & Chow, LLP announced a new family law practice, expanding the firm’s legal services to include adoption; guardianship; prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; divorce; and child relocation services.

PMKC welcomed Senior Associate Attorney Seth Harris to oversee the new practice, while Kapono Kiakona, who became a partner of PMKC in 2010, will assume the role of co-managing partner.

PMKC Partner Christian Porter was featured in Pacific Business News’ Executive Insight column on April 7, 2017. The article, “Retooling a Law Firm for Retention,” highlights how Porter, together with his partners, has lead the firm through a period of modernization and aims to overcome the obstacle that many law firms face: retention.
