Associate

Sara M. Nakayama joined PKK in March 2025 as an associate attorney with a focus on community association and commercial litigation. She is licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in Hawaii and is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association.

Sara earned her J.D. from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law, after beginning her legal studies at the Southern University Law Center. While in law school, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing, served on the board of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and was a member of Hawaiʻi Women Lawyers.

Raised on Oʻahu, Sara is a graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon.

As an attorney with PKK’s litigation section, she serves clients throughout Oʻahu and the neighbor islands.
